As you are reading this, I feel it is important to ask you if you know Jesus? Not just knowing Jesus like you know Brett Favre or Babe Ruth (although I did play softball with Babe Ruth’s great nephew.. that doesn’t count), but do you have, or try to have, a real relationship with Him in the same way that you have a relationship with your wife, girlfriend, friend, and/or family? To me being a christian is not about a religion, it HAS to be about a relationship with Jesus Christ.
So, do you know Jesus?
If you don’t, there is no better time than the present. There is no special ceremony you have to do. You don’t have to worry about being grazed.
Just ask Jesus to come into your heart.
Let Him know that you have sinned (made mistakes) and that you now understand that Jesus died for those sins to be wiped away (John 3:16).
Invite Him into your heart to form you into the man he really wants you to be- FREE!
If you did this and truly meant it and have faith that Christ is now your personal Savior and friend, then I encourage you to find a local church and get plugged in (we’re all on this journey together). And remember this as you begin your new journey:
The road may be rough at times, but the reward, the eternal reward, is worth the ride. Also, no, and I mean NO ONE, not a government nor any person on this planet, can ever take your eternal salvation away from you once you truly give your life to Christ. Don’t let anyone convince you any differently.
Lastly, if you do know Jesus, then how is your relationship today? I’m just say’n.
My relationship with Jesus is truly the best relationship I have ever had, there is a peace and love within that lets me know. I am blessed beyond measure and it wasn’t easy or quickly had to do a lot of letting go, very willing to that once I was totally surrendered to God my Higher Power and was willing to listen with my heart for that voice that let’s me know when I am about to be in trouble or something happening, truly a miracle. The most blessed event was when I had a near death experience and literally was pulled to the light and fully experienced the message of true love and peace within.
